Month of the Military Child

April was designated Month of the Military Child (MOMC) in 1986 by the Department of Defense. More than 20,000 Military Connected Youth in MN have experienced the deployment of a loved one. The military recognizes April as the MOMC and is an opportunity to recognize the commitment, contributions and sacrifices that military-connected youth have made to our Nation. Minnesota Governors have proclaimed April as Month of the Military Child since 2008.
